How does our Lightning Alert / Warning System /Automatic Lightning Risk Alert System (ALRAS) works ?
Our Lightning Alert / Warning System was developed using the SMS and microprocessor technologies to assist the Operation Manager of MOE schools or any organisations.
It provides pre-warnings of possible thunder storms based on webserver information from NEA SINGAPORE. Our server will do a periodic pinging of information from the NEA Webserver for lightnings occurance in Singapore. And the information is then send via SMS message to all the ALRAS controllers installed at the client’s sites.
The Lightning Alert / Warning System (ALRAS) will perform the following actions based on the message received :
- Turn on the Strobe Light and Siren for a pre-determined period set by the SMS message.
- Extend the alert period for a pre-determined period set by the SMS message.
- Turn off the Strobe Light and Siren
If in any time you wish to control the alert period, you may do so with the manual control that is incorprated in the Lightning Alert / Warning System (ALRAS). In additional, the Lightning Alert / Warning System (ALRAS) can forwards the alert SMS message to another 5 (max) mobile users. All this actions is done automically without the user intervention.
Advantages of the Automatic Lightning Alert / Warning System as compared to the Manual System :
- Long-terms cost saving over the manual system
- Reducing man-power involvement
- Saving in management cost
- Reduce Operational Manager hassle to carry out his responsibility
- Reduce personnel work interruption
- Instant response to Alert compare to manual system
- More reliable, less human mistake
What if I already own the Manual Lightning Alert / Warning System ?

With an average of 168 thunderstorm days per year this make Singapore one of the highest lightnings occurrance in the world. We have developed Lightning Alert / Warning System or ALRAS to detect lightning activity in Singapore and alert the public to take necessary precautions.
